ABC has announced ‘American Idol’ will be back for another season. This will mark the seventh season for the show on the ABC network and the 22nd overall since launching back in 2002 on FOX. It has not yet been announced whether Luke Bryan, Katy Perry, and Lionel Richie will return as judges for the new season. The season 21 finale is set to air on Sunday, May 21.
