General Motors is recalling nearly 6,000 pickup trucks over an issue with lock nuts. Some hex flange lock nuts used in the suspension and steering joints were not properly heat-treated and could break. The recall applies to 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD trucks with the model year 2021-2022. A dealership will replace the lock nuts free of charge. Affected owners will be notified by mail in January. How big is 'too big' for a pickup truck?
