Charles Kelley dawned “a new phase in my musical journey” with two new tracks from his upcoming project on Friday (March 28).
The Lady A star released his new single, “Can’t Lose You,” and a cover of one of his favorite songs by The Killers, “Here With Me,” from a new project titled Songs For A New Moon. Kelley did not share the release date as of publication time on Friday. He said “these songs mark a new phase in my musical journey, and they were the catalyst for the type of project I’ve been dreaming about making for a long time. As an 80s baby these are the sounds and feels that have always inspired me.”
Kelley’s new music arrives just a few days after he and his wife of more than a decade, Cassie Kelley, announced Baby No. 2 is on the way. Cassie said it was the “biggest surprise of our lives” when she shared photos debuting her growing baby bump on Tuesday (March 25). Kelley’s Lady A bandmate Hillary Scott, who is pregnant with Baby No. 4, said the pregnancy news “makes 9 [Lady A] kiddos.” Scott’s Baby No. 4 joins Eisele Kaye, 11, and twins Betsy and Emory, 7. Kelley’s Baby No. 2 will join son Ward, 9. Bandmate Dave Haywood and his wife are parents to Cash Van, 10, Lillie Renee, 7, and Joseph Michael, born in July 2024.
