Carrie Underwood’s husband, retired NHL star Mike Fisher, joined his wife on a red carpet for the first time in years on Wednesday evening (March 19).
Underwood, 42, and Fisher, 44, attended the star-studded Opry 100: A Live Celebration event at the legendary Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. The country radio broadcast, hailed the show that made country music famous, celebrates its centennial in 2025. Underwood was one of many artists to perform on the historic stage on Wednesday evening — delivering a moving tribute to Randy Travis, who invited Underwood to become an Opry member in 2008 — along with host Blake Shelton, Brad Paisley, Kelsea Ballerini, Trisha Yearwood, Reba McEntire, Luke Combs and many more. The last time Fisher joined Underwood on a red carpet was the 56th CMA Awards, which took place in November 2022 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville.
Underwood and Fisher met in 2008. The 2005 American Idol winner and new judge met Fisher backstage at one of her concerts (her bass player was a mutual friend). The couple started dating, got engaged in December 2009, and got married in July 2010. They’ve since welcomed two sons, Isaiah Michael Fisher, who turned 9 last month, and Jacob Bryan Fisher, who celebrated his 5th birthday in January. The family lives on a farm — Underwood has shared glimpses of sheep, chickens and more — outside of Nashville, Tennessee.
