Kelly Clarkson shared a sweet word of advice to powerhouse country singer Lauren Alaina, who debuted her growing baby bump in a surprise pregnancy announcement earlier this week.
Alaina shared that she’s expecting Baby No. 1 with husband Cam Arnold in a full circle music video that premiered on Wednesday (January 22). Alaina released her latest single, “Those Kind Of Women,” and dedicated the visual to “my Momma and our sweet Baby Arnold coming summer 2025.”
One day after she announced her pregnancy, Alaina caught up with Clarkson on The Kelly Clarkson Show. Clarkson is a mother to daughter River Rose and son Remington “Remy” Alexander, ages 10 and 8, respectively. The two former American Idol contestants bonded over music and motherhood on the talk show episode that aired on Thursday (January 23). Clarkson also shared some advice to Alaina about touring while pregnant. The “Road Less Traveled” hitmaker is set to join Rascal Flatts on the trio’s 25th anniversary tour. The “Life Is A Highway Tour” also includes Chris Lane, and will kick off next month.
“I’m touring until I’m 34 weeks pregnant,” Alaina said on The Kelly Clarkson Show. “Like I said, (the pregnancy) was a surprise, and I’d already said ‘yes’ to the tour. I would have anyway because I’m very excited about the tour with them, but I’ll be pregnant. Very pregnant, for sure.”
Clarkson encouraged the “Those Kind Of Women” artist to “cut yourself slack,” and “don’t take it all on” while she’s performing throughout the pregnancy. “Take care of you.”
Alaina beamed that she and her husband “are overwhelmed with the love we have received for sweet Baby Arnold,” she wrote in a heartfelt post on Instagram on Thursday afternoon. “Our baby is so loved already. Thank you for all the well wishes for our growing family🍼”
