The live music event and fireworks show will take place at Hemisfair Park, and inside La Villita / Maverick Plaza, in downtown San Antonio. Official event hours are from 6:00pm through 12:15am, on Monday, December 31st, 2018. The event is 100% FREE to the public.
Programming on the Hemisfair stage will include DJ Red Mamba, (aka. local Spurs-legend Matt Bonner), local all-star Rolling Stones tribute act, The Satisfactions (featuring Garrett T. Capps and DT Buffkin), San Antonio’s favorite westside-soulsters, Eddie and The Valiants, and classic-country hipsters, The Texases.
Performing in the Bud Light DJ Lounge located in Maverick Plaza will be the San Antonio chapter of the all-female DJ collective Chulita Vinyl Club, along with local DJ’s Soulstairs and Adam Madrigal. The Bud Light Lounge in Maverick Plaza will also feature new specialty cocktail offerings from Deep Eddy.*
This year’s event will be co-hosted by the San Antonio Tricentennial Commission (300 San Antonio), which will debut videos featuring highlights of San Antonio’s 300th year. The ‘Celebrate Family’ Zone, presented by H-E-B, will be located on Villita St. with games and activities for all ages from 6pm-9pm. The Arneson River Theater will be hosted by Spurs Sports & Entertainment, and will offer more free, family-friendly programming from 6pm-9pm. Also, as part of all the evening festivities, the Yanaguana Garden in Hemisfair Park will be open for all to enjoy. The night will be capped with a communal countdown at midnight, followed by a spectacular Fireworks show at The Tower of Americas.
