Service Dogs Can Help Military Veterans With PTSD

A new study suggests that service dogs can help military veterans dealing with PTSD. The dogs are trained to pick up on physical signs of distress and can interrupt a panic attack with a nudge and some affection. A three-month study found that veterans with dogs saw a larger improvement to their PTSD symptoms than other veterans. But more study and evidence-gathering is needed.
