Poll Reveals Which Country Artists These 50 College Football Coaches Love

There's something about a good football game that is made even better with a country soundtrack, thus country music and college football are a marriage made in heaven. Fans of the genre are often also fans of the sport, and it turns out that college football coaches share same sentiments. All 133 head coaches in the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) were polled by Action Network to find out who their favorite artist is. A whopping fifty coaches named a country act as their favorite genre of music to listen to, despite the fact that their responses varied from genre to genre. The most well-liked options on this list? George Strait, Luke Combs, Eric Church, and a few more musicians from their home states are also mentioned. Shane Beamer from South Carolina claims that Darius Rucker is his favorite musician. Church, a North Carolina native and ardent Tar Heel fan, is cited by UNC student Mack Brown as his go-to artist. Shawn Clark from Appalachian State gives Combs some love on this list; the singer briefly attended the university before quitting to pursue music. He has attended a few athletic events over the years and has recently been photographed wearing App State clothing. What's the best way for a college athlete to balance school and the team?
