GM Announces Truck Recall

General Motors is recalling nearly 6,000 pickup trucks over an issue with lock nuts. Some hex flange lock nuts used in the suspension and steering joints were not properly heat-treated and could break. The recall applies to 4500HD, 5500HD, and 6500HD trucks with the model year 2021-2022. A dealership will replace the lock nuts free of charge. Affected owners will be notified by mail in January.
