After taking down the defending NBA Champion Oklahoma City Thunder, the San Antonio Spurs host the New York Knicks for Game One of the NBA Finals Wednesday Night.
The Spurs are trying to win their first title since 2014 while the Knicks hope to end a more than 50-year title drought. The sides clashed in the 1999 Finals where San Antonio destroyed New York in five games.
The Knicks, though have been red hot, taking out the Atlanta Hawks, Philadelphia 76ers, and Cleveland Cavaliers without much resistance in the Eastern Conference playoffs.
San Antonio and New York played three times in the regular season, including in an NBA Cup bout that didn't count towards either team's wins total (62 and 53, respectively). The Spurs went 1-2 against New York.
