Spurs retire Tony Parker's No. 9 Jersey

A sold-out crowd at the AT&T Center celebrated Tony Parker's career as the Spurs retired Parker's No. 9 jersey. A ceremony was held following last night's game against the Grizzlies.

Former teammates, coaches, family and friends took part in the ceremony. Parker said, he came here as a kid from France, but "San Antonio would always be his home."

Parker, who joined the Spurs at the age of 19, ended his career as one of only four players in NBA history to have 4,000 plus points and 1,000 plus assists in the playoffs. Together with Tim Duncan and Manu Ginobili, the three have more wins by a trio in both regular season (575) and postseason (126) than any other trio in NBA history. Parker also had the 7th most wins in NBA history.

Parker says he now looks forward to the next chapter in his life, including spending time with his family, mentoring young basketball players and continuing to promote the game of basketball here and in France, where he owns two teams.
