It's a rare sight to see snow in south Texas. Well, there was that one time three years ago.
Remember that? Nothing like a '30 year snow storm' that covered San Antonio to the coast of Texas. If you miss seeing the "white stuff" on the ground in the Alamo City, then you're in luck!
Centro San Antonio is making a little holiday magic happen in downtown every Saturday in December. Snow! Yes, even under clear skies and with 60 degree temperatures.
Thanks to Centro San Antonio, parts of downtown turn into a winter wonderland for families to enjoy for this holiday season.
The organization wants to provide a joyous escape for all families in a safe outdoor setting. Safety is top priority for Centro San Antonio during this COVID time and to prevent gatherings of large crowds the organization will keep the pop-up locations a secret until it’s time for the flurries to fall.
My wife and I took our daughter to experience the downtown snow squall in Market Square on day one. It was so great to see people out but staying socially distant. There are only a few more Saturdays left before this weather phenomenon disappears for the season.
Find out where the next squall will hit in downtown San Antonio by following Centro San Antonio on social media.
