TMSG: Couple Married For 60 Years Reunites After 215 Days Apart

The coronavirus pandemic has kept many families apart this year. One couple knows this all to well, but they finally got to reunite.

Joseph and Eve Loreth, both 80 years old, have been married for nearly 61 years. Joseph entered the hospital for an illness in March, and he ended up having to have his leg amputated and spent several more months in rehabilitation. Eve was unable to visit him during all of it because of the coronavirus safety restrictions.

In August, Eve joined the facility her husband was at, Rosecastle at Delaney Creek, but they still weren't able to see each other. For seven months, the two of them had daily phone calls and window visits.

After 215 days apart, Joseph graduated rehabilitation and he was reunited with his love. Staff members at Rosecastle captured the emotional moment on video and it's since gone viral. The center wrote on Facebook, "We got to witness these two resident love birds see and hug each other for the first time since the pandemic. Get your tissues out!"
