TMSG: Woman Celebrates 100 Birthday With Family Through Nursing Home Window

Millie Erickson may have been isolated on Sunday in Sterling, Massachusetts for her 100th birthday but that didn't stop her family from celebrating.

Her family found a workaround for visitation restrictions at the Sterling Village nursing home. Many members of Erickson's family were able to gather outside of her window to her room and sing "Happy Birthday." She blew kisses at her visiting family through the window and celebrated by wearing a birthday-themed cowboy hat. She also held a sign that read, "Today is my 100th birthday!!"

The woman's son Gary Erickson told WSFA 12 News,

"It was really nice they let us do this. She doesn't usually cry, but she did. She's just thrilled to see everybody, and she's lived a good long life."
