TMSG: Tortoise Run Over By Car, Saved & Gets 3-D Printed Shell

A sulcata tortoise named George, got out of his owner's yard when Hurricane Irma knocked down a heavy metal gate. His owner Dr. Lenard Hughes, searched all over the neighborhood looking for his beloved pet with no luck.

His neighbor spotted George on a street near Hughes' home and had just gotten out to retrieve him with another car ran the tortoise over. Luckily for George and Hughes', this wasn't the end of their story.

Hughes' found Dr. Susan Kelleher of Broward Avian and Exotics Animal Hospital, a famous veterinarian near his town who constructed George a 3D shell to protect his internal organs and save the tortoise.

While George and Hughes will be on a long road to recovery, George seems to be doing extremely well considering his circumstances. And THAT is some 'tell me something good.'

If you want to help George the tortoise and Hughes with the tortoise's treatment, here's the GoFundMe Page.
