Two-Year-Old Boy Shot In Act Of Road Rage In Baltimore

A 33-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly shot into a car and struck a two-year-old boy in an act of road rage. The victim's car was stopped at a red light while driving through Baltimore early Saturday (October 12) morning. When the light turned green, the first car did not start moving, and the driver of the victim's car started honking their horn.

The driver got tired of waiting and drove around the other vehicles that remained stopped at the green light. The suspected shooter, identified as 33-year-old Javon Johnson, followed the victim in his silver Mazda MPV and opened fire from his minivan.

The young boy was struck in the stomach and was rushed to the hospital where he is listed in stable condition. He is expected to survive.

Johnson was taken into custody on Sunday and was charged with attempted murder, assault, and various handgun related charges.

"You shot a child. Whoever you thought you were shooting at, you didn't shoot," Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said.
