Two Men Shot Five Minutes and Three Blocks Apart
Posted Sunday, August 24th 2014 @ 9am

Police are trying to determine if two shootings about two blocks and five minutes apart on the city's south side this morning are related.

Newsradio 1200 WOAI's Morgan Montalvo reports that several shots were heard at the Rainbow Motel on South Presa about 2AM.

Officers arrived to find a man who had been shot several times.  He was rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition.

About five minutes later, police got a call for another shooting about three blocks away, at East Southcross and Box Elder.

There they found a man lying in the middle of the street with a single gunshot wound in the stomach.

He was also rushed to BAMC.

  So far, no arrests.
