Four adults were killed this morning in a single vehicle accident southeast of downtown, police tell 1200 WOAI news.

It happened shortly before 2AM.  An SUV went out of control on I-35 north at the entrance ramp to I-10 east.

Police say the SUV rolled over at least twice, throwing the occupants from the vehicle.

Two men and two women, all believed to be in their late twenties or early thirties, were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police sent up a helicopter with a spotlight to search for the possibility of other victims, including the possibility that a four year old child may have been inside the vehicle, but no other victims were found.

Officers say they don't know if alcohol, speed, or any other factor contributed to the wreck.  They also don't know if the SUV went out of control completely on its own, or if another factor, like debris in the roadway or another vehicle, may have caused the driver to lose control.
