It was a rude awakening this morning for several employees of the Pizza Hut  at Nacogdoches and O'Connor on the city's northeast side, 1200 WOAI news reports.

About 1AM, the employees had just closed up the restaurant for the night and were milling around in the parking lot when a long gunman approached them and pulled a gun.

Police say the man relieved them of their wallets and cell phones, as well as an undetermined amount of cash from the night deposit bag.

Detectives say the man ran into an apartment complex behind the restaurant.

An almost identical armed robbery took place at the same restaurant January 4, and police are trying to determine if the same gunman was involved.
