It's that time of year again for Tracy Lawrence.
The country star will be donning an apron next week to host his 8th annual "Mission Possible Turkey Fry" in Nashville. At the event Tracy - along with some celebrity friends and other volunteers - will roll into the parking lot of the Nashville Rescue Mission before sunrise to fire up their fryers and begin cooking turkeys.
The singer intends to fry up at least 500 turkeys and serve meals to some of those who are homeless and hungry in the Nashville area.
Tracy says he's glad to help out. He calls the Nashville Rescue Mission "a blessing" to the community, and adds that every year he's "humbled by the outpouring of support" from those who donate their time to his event.
Lawrence's 8th annual "Mission Possible Turkey Fry" is set for November 26th - the Tuesday before Thanksgiving.
Since launching the "Mission Possible Turkey Fry" in 2006, Lawrence has he's fried up nearly 6,000 turkeys, which have generated over $35,000 meals. And the singer isn't just feeding the homeless at his event. The "Turkey Fry" is open to the public.
